Recycled Rodents
Rat and Mouse Rescue
The following rats and mice are currently in Recycled Rodents Foster Homes located on the East Coast. Currently Recycled Rodents operates in the North East/Mid Atlantic Area (NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA). We are sorry, but due to the complications involved we can not ship animals to other areas. Long distance placements will be considered if potential adopters are willing to meet with the animals current caregiver, and make appropriate arrangements for transporting their new family member home. See our "other rats and mice in search of new homes" link for animals in other areas.

If you do not see any rats/mice that interest you, please fill out or application. We will be happy to let you know when we do find your perfect new friend.

Every year many rats and mice are put to sleep in shelters and rescue is helpless to assist due to a
lack of foster homes. Could you help save a life?
6 Pink-eyed White baby boys - these boys are about 6 weeks old and adorable! They are remaining few from an accidental litter of 13.  Their owner was able to place all but these boys.  Wouldn't you like to give one a home?

Beige Hooded boys - Our owner died and left us... we were rescued from a local shelter and need to find another loving home.  We are very pretty and well mannered.  We are about a year old.  Can you help us?

Black Hooded boys - Stan and Eli are two beautiful 6 month old boys.  Stan is very intraverted and prefers to be in his cage.  Although he is not agressive, he would just prefer not to be handled much.  He's more
comfortable in his cage.  HOWEVER, Eli is another story!  He LOVES to greet myou at the door and come out to play!  He pesters his brother quite a bit! Their owner was unable to attend to them as much as she would have liked. Wouldn't you consider one of these two boys?

7 week old Russian Blue boy - last of a litter from a breeder who had to give up his rats completely.  Handled in foster care since he was two weeks old.  Very, very sweet boy.

Hairless 7 week old boy - who still shows a bit of his Siamese coloring in the hair on his face. He still as a bit of a fuzzy coat, and is cute & sweet!  He is also the last of a litter from the breeder whose life circumstances forced him to give up his rats completely. Also handled in foster care from 2 weeks of age.  (not from the same litter as above Russian Blue).

Hairless girl - about 16 weeks old, looks as though she also has the siamese coloring with a smudgy nose and very light skin.  She is very hairless and very pretty.  She has been handled quite a bit.   She has had to be moved in with a larger cage of female rats since we found homes for her other cagemates, and isn't very happy about it.  We think she would do better in a cage with only one or two other rats.  She would make someone a lovely pet! Super friendly!  Always runs to the open cage door!   She is waiting for the right person to come claim her!

Agouti Siblings - there are two berkshire marked and two hooded marked agouti girls needing homes.  Their owner has been ill and would like for them to find a nice home.  Please contact us if you can give these girls a
home.  They are about 4 months old.
